SUMMARY:
Temporary guardianship orders. Establishes alternate procedure for temporary guardianship orders where a person alleged to be incapable of taking care of himself or his estate is a patient in a hospital, nursing home or similar institution. A petition for appointment of a temporary guardian may in such cases be prosecuted before a special justice appointed by the circuit court in accordance with existing Code provisions. Limitations are provided as to rights and duties of guardians so appointed. Fees are provided for the special justice conducting the hearing and the guardian ad litem.
