SUMMARY:
Essential and standard health insurance plans. Requires the State Corporation Commission to consider the recommendations of the Essential Health Services Panel (established pursuant to Chapter 847 of the 1992 Acts of the Assembly) in adopting regulations establishing essential and standard plans for the small employer health insurance market. Under the current statute, such regulations must incorporate the recommendations of the panel. An emergency clause makes the bill effective from its passage.
