SUMMARY:
Local ASAP dispositional alternatives. Provides that local share fees collected from DUI offenders are to be held for local administration of ASAP's which provide probation and intervention services for referred offenders. Such services may include drug screening and supervision of community service placements, and such other services as may reasonably be required by the court. Currently, disposition is for local administration of driver alcohol rehabilitation programs. The new language is to provide ASAP programs with specific authority to broaden their services to include services currently provided for drug offenders and such other services as may be provided pursuant to the Comprehensive Community Corrections Act.
