SUMMARY:
Duties of real estate brokers and salespersons. Creates a new article in Title 54.1 that establishes the duties of real estate brokers and salespersons to sellers, buyers, landlords, and tenants and defines the types of brokerage relationships that may be undertaken and their duration. The bill also requires written disclosure of certain information pertaining to property that is the subject of the real estate transaction and expressly abrogates the common law of agency relative to the duties of real estate brokers and salespersons in real estate transactions.
