SUMMARY:
Duties of the Attorney General in criminal cases. Requires the Attorney General to provide notice of the filing and disposition of any appeal or habeas corpus proceeding involving the victim of any crime, if so requested by the victim. “Victim” as defined in the bill includes the guardian of a person under a disability and a close family relative of a homicide victim. The bill purports not to confer, create, or abridge any existing rights or causes of action.
