SUMMARY:
Saltwater recreational fishing license. Requires persons fishing in ocean waters and in the waters of the eastern side of Virginia to obtain a saltwater recreational fishing license. Currently, persons sport fishing in these areas are exempt from having to obtain such a license. The bill also dedicates up to 15 percent of the revenue generated annually from purchase of this license to pay the costs of administering the Virginia Saltwater Sport Fishing Tournament.
