HB 1803 Duties of employers concerning work-related incidents.

SUMMARY:
Duties of employers. Requires employers to report to the Department of Labor and Industry within eight hours any work-related incident resulting in a fatality or in the in-patient hospitalization of three or more persons. Under current law, employers are required to make such reports within 48 hours of any accident resulting in a fatality or the hospitalization of five or more persons. This bill brings Virginia law into conformity with new federal requirements.
