SUMMARY:
Death certificates; filing by funeral directors. Makes funeral directors the single authority to retrieve pertinent information about the deceased and to file the death certificate with the registrar. Formerly, the filing of a death certificate could be done by the funeral director or the person who first assumes custody of the body of the deceased.
