SUMMARY:
Alcoholic beverage control; hearing officers. Requires hearings held by the ABC Board to be conducted by hearing officers as defined in the Administrative Process Act. Currently, the ABC Board is exempted under the Administrative Process Act from using hearing officers as contemplated in that Act and has in-house hearing officers who conduct hearings on behalf of the Board. The bill provides that it does not apply to hearings conducted by the Board which commenced prior to the effective date of the bill. The bill also contains technical amendments.
