SUMMARY:

Regional cooperation. Encourages regional cooperation by awarding an appropriate additional point or points to any application or request for state funds, including but not limited to grants, loans, or subsidies of any kind, for projects related to economic, housing, community, or infrastructure development, which application documents a benefit to three or more political subdivisions of the Commonwealth by such project. The bill is a recommendation of the Blue Ridge Regional Economic Development Commission (HJR 283, 1994).
