SUMMARY:

Distribution of State Lottery proceeds to localities. Beginning July 1, 1996, one-third of the lottery profits transferred to the general fund will be distributed to counties and cities. One-half of the amount distributed will be based on each locality's percentage of total lottery sales. The other half will be based on each locality's school-age population. The money must be used for capital outlay projects including debt and interest for such projects.
