SUMMARY:
Disease prevention and education; osteoporosis. Requires osteoporosis to be included in various prevention and education activities. The Board of Health is directed to include, within the existing comprehensive program of preventive, curative, restorative, and environmental health services, prevention and education activities focused on women's health, including osteoporosis, breast cancer, and other conditions unique to or more prevalent among women. Further, the patient and community health education services and the worksite health promotion grants programs are to include information on the causes, prevention, early detection, and treatment of osteoporosis.
