SUMMARY:

Overhead High Voltage Line Safety Act. Modifies the Act's current provisions to (i) incorporate restrictions imposed by occupational safety and health regulations upon operators of equipment in the proximity of high voltage lines, (ii) eliminate the Act's current requirement that owners and operators of high voltage lines register contact names and telephones numbers with the clerk of the circuit court in the county or city where such lines are located and (iii) allocate the cost of temporary safety arrangements required when work is performed in close proximity to high voltage lines by the Department of Transportation or its contractors, or by cities, counties or towns.
