SUMMARY:
Reapportionment of boroughs in the City of Virginia Beach. Requires the City of Virginia Beach to reapportion its seven boroughs so as to be equal in population, effective for the May 1998 council elections. The bill does not change the City's present system by which the mayor and three council members are elected by and from the City at large and seven council members are elected by the entire City subject to a borough residence requirement.
