SUMMARY:

Funeral establishments; preneed funeral contracts; record-keeping requirements. Permits funeral establishments under common ownership, control or management to maintain preneed funeral contracts and associated records at a single location within the Commonwealth. Current preneed regulations issued by the Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers require copies of all preneed contracts and associated records to be maintained at the funeral establishments actually providing the funeral services purchased in such contracts. The bill also codifies the Board's regulations requiring preneed records to be maintained as a general matter.
