SUMMARY:
Trade and commerce; horse racing with pari-mutuel wagering; taxation. Changes the percentage retained by a licensee and the percentages of such retainage paid to the Commonwealth and the localities where the race track or satellite facility is located. The bill provides that of the Commonwealth's take, the Commonwealth shall pay a designated percentage to the affected localities. The bill also increases the admissions tax from $0.25 to $2.00, out of which the Commonwealth receives $1.00.
