SUMMARY:

Virginia Growth Strategies Act. Establishes a state strategic planning process; forms within the State Department of Planning and Budget a Division of Planning designating the Governor as the state's chief planning officer; requires the preparation, adoption and implementation of the Virginia Growth Strategies Plan by the Governor with the assistance of the Division of Planning and an advisory commission to improve planning and coordination among state agencies in furthering efficient and cost-effective growth. The bill also creates a State Planning Library within the State Library.
