WHEREAS, Jesse Lester Miller, of Portsmouth, Virginia, died on December 13, 1994; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Lester Miller, was a native of Logan, West Virginia, and later became a resident of Virginia; lived a life filled with happiness and joy; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Lester Miller provided devoted service to the citizens of Hampton Roads as a motor coach operator with Tidewater Regional Transit; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Lester Miller attended the Portsmouth First Penticostal Holiness Church and exemplified the qualities of kindness and virtue toward his fellow man as he illustrated the qualities of compassion and goodness; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Lester Miller held particular significance in the lives of Hazel Ritter Miller, June Miller, Donald R. Miller, Allyn Miller, Donna R. Miller, Rhonda Bucher, Cindy Aston, G. Robert Aston, Jr. and G. Robert Aston III; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Lester Miller held the highest standard of consideration without regard to race, religion or creed, as he deeply touched the lives of all who knew him, bringing well deserved honor to himself, his community, and this Commonwealth; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly mourn the passing of Jesse Lester Miller and extend its sympathy to his family and many friends; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Jesse Lester Miller as an expression of the esteem in which his memory is held by the General Assembly and the people of Virginia.
