WHEREAS, Virginia's dedicated state employees, the foundation of all state government operations, serve their fellow Virginians with a high degree of professionalism and commitment to excellence; and
WHEREAS, the level of skill and dedication exhibited by state employees is a great source of pride within the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, state employees perform a variety of valuable services for the people of the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, regardless of rank or title, state employees perform their duties in accordance with the highest traditions of public service; and
WHEREAS, state employees live in all Virginia localities and are volunteer leaders in many community activities; and
WHEREAS, many employees of the Commonwealth are called upon to help their neighbors in time of need, and in hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, and other natural disasters, state employees have assisted others with courage and commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend Virginia's state employees for their skill, their commitment, and their professionalism; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the General Assembly urge the citizens of the Commonwealth to express their appreciation to Virginia's dedicated public servants for a job well done.
