HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 463
Commending Woodberry Forest School on its 105th anniversary.

WHEREAS, in 1995, Woodberry Forest School, a leader in independent education in the Commonwealth and the nation, will celebrate the 105th anniversary of its founding; and

WHEREAS, founded by Captain Robert Stringfellow Walker, a former officer in Mosby's Rangers, Woodberry Forest School has instilled in young Virginians the timeless values of integrity and honor for more than a century; and

WHEREAS, devoted to the full development of their young charges, the faculty and staff of Woodberry Forest School recognize the value of a sound body, a fully developed intellect, and a strong sense of morality; and

WHEREAS, a vital member of the Central Virginia community, Woodberry Forest School continues its leadership role in producing young graduates well known for their intellectual abilities, their personal integrity, and their willingness to serve others; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend the Woodberry Forest School on the occasion of its 105th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Woodberry Forest School as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for its 105 years of educational leadership and best wishes for its continued success.
