LD5381297WHEREAS, Isaac Fleischmann, a resident of Falls Church and a nationally recognized expert in the field of patent law, was named the recipient of the 1994 Community Service Award by the Jewish National Fund; and
WHEREAS, Isaac Fleischmann’s career at the U.S. Patent Office spanned over 35 years, including service as Assistant to the Commissioner and Director of Information Services; and
WHEREAS, his exceptional service to the Patent Office was recognized in 1994, when Isaac Fleischmann was honored with the prestigious Pasquale J. Federico Memorial Award by the Patent and Trademark Office Society; and
WHEREAS, a dedicated supporter of the State of Israel who has demonstrated longtime commitment to the Jewish National Fund and the United Jewish Appeal Federation, Isaac Fleischmann has served as an honorary member of the Northern Virginia Jewish Community Center’s Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, through its Community Service Award, the Jewish National Fund has recognized Isaac Fleischmann’s numerous, invaluable, and sustained contributions, including a housing site in Beersheva, Israel, dedicated to the memory of his wife, Bea; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend Isaac Fleischmann on being named the recipient of the 1994 Community Service Award; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Isaac Fleischmann in honor of his singular dedication and commitment to the many worthy goals of the Jewish National Fund and its support of the State of Israel.
