Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-736.1 as follows:

§ 46.2-736.1. Special license plates for members of the Virginia House of Delegates and members of the Virginia Senate.

On receipt of an application and written evidence that the applicant is a member of the Virginia House of Delegates or a member of the Virginia Senate, the Commissioner shall issue to the applicant special license plates. The number shown on any license plate issued under this section shall be the same as the House of Delegates or Senate district number of the member to whom the license plate is issued.
