VIRGINIA ACTS OF ASSEMBLY -- CHAPTER An Act to repeal Article 1 (§ 28.2-1000) of Chapter 10 of Title 28.2 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Compact. [H 374] Approved

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That Article 1 ( § 28.2-1000 ) of Chapter 10 of Title 28.2 of the Code of Virginia is repealed.

2. That the Governor shall give notice of Virginia's renunciation of the Compact, as provided for in Article XII of the Compact.

3. That the first enactment of this act and the repeal of Article 1 (§ 28.2-1000) of Chapter 10 of Title 28.2 of the Code of Virginia shall become effective on July 1, 1996.
