LD1910412Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 30-19.3:1 as follows:
§ 30-19.3:1. Limiting introduction of legislation.
No member of the General Assembly shall introduce at any regular session more than twelve bills or resolutions. This limitation shall not apply to legislation that (i) mourns the death of a member or former member of the General Assembly or a prominent state, federal, or local public official; (ii) commends a public official for actions or accomplishments directly relating to the governing of the Commonwealth; (iii) is related to the administration of government and introduced at the request of the Governor; or (iv) affects the rules of procedure or the schedule of business of the General Assembly, either of its houses, or any of its committees.
