LD4172156Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 18.2-108 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 18.2-108. Receiving, etc., stolen goods.
If any person buybuys or
receivereceives from another person, or
aidaids in concealing, or sells to another person
any stolen goods or other thing, knowing the same to have been stolen,
he shall be deemed guilty of larceny thereof, and may
be proceeded against, although the principal offender be has
not been convicted.
2. That the provisions of this act may result in a net increase in periods of imprisonment in state correctional facilities. Pursuant to § 30-19.1:4, the estimated amount of the necessary appropriation is $0.00.
