Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 18.2-314.1 as follows:

§ 18.2-314.1. Sale of playground equipment to child day center in noncompliance with safety standards.

No person shall knowingly sell any playground equipment to a child day center, as defined in § 63.1-195, that does not comply with safety standards for such equipment prescribed pursuant to Chapter 10 (§ 63.1-195 et seq.) of Title 63.1.

Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.
