LD0228468Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 18.2-109.1 as follows:
§ 18.2-109.1. Receiving, etc., stolen property; civil liability.
Any person convicted of a violation of § 18.2-108, subdivision 2 of § 18.2-108.1 or § 18.2-109 shall be civilly liable to the owner of the property such person bought, received or concealed to the extent of all losses consequently suffered by such owner.
