CHAPTER 464 An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 2.1-51.17:01, relating to duties of the Secretary of Public Safety. [H 2279] Approved March 20, 1995

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 2.1-51.17:01 as follows:

§ 2.1-51.17:01. Secretary of Public Safety to publish certain list.

The Secretary of Public Safety is hereby directed to publish annually a list of those localities which have acquired any aircraft through forfeiture procedures. Such list shall include a description of each aircraft so acquired. The Secretary shall develop a program to encourage the use of such aircraft for travel associated with law-enforcement purposes, including but not limited to, extradition of prisoners and arrestees within and without the Commonwealth.
