CHAPTER 174 An Act to amend and reenact § 15.1-600 of the Code of Virginia, relating to conditions of employment in the county executive form of government. [S 722] Approved March 14, 1995

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 15.1-600 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 15.1-600. Compensation of officers and employees.

The board of county supervisors shall, subject to such limitations as may be made by general law, fix the compensation of all officers and employees of the county, except as it may authorize the head of some department or office to fix the compensation of subordinates and employees in such department or office. The board may authorize the county executive to establish terms and conditions of employment for department heads and other specified employees who report directly to the county executive.
