CHAPTER 161 An Act to amend and reenact § 45 of Chapter 721 of the Acts of Assembly of 1976, which provided a charter for the City of Manassas, relating to posting of certain ordinances. [H 1501] Approved March 10, 1995

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 45 of Chapter 721 of the Acts of Assembly of 1976 is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 45. All ordinances hereafter passed by the council for the violation of which any penalty is imposed, shall be published by posting on a bulletin board on in the front lobby of the city hall not less than thirty days prior to the date on which such ordinance will become effective and the certificate of the city clerk shall be a prima facie evidence of such posting and of the time thereof.

2. That an emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
