SUMMARY:

JLARC to study the Disney project. Requests JLARC to study the net fiscal and environmental impact of the proposed Disney project to the Commonwealth and its political subdivisions. Disney has indicated that it intends to seek financial assistance from the State and the County of Prince William for certain road and possibly other infrastructure improvements to serve the site. Conflicting economic impact reports in support and opposition of the project have surfaced, making it desirable for an independent study to be conducted before public funds are committed.
