SUMMARY:
Crimes and offenses generally; bingo study. Continues the joint subcommittee studying Virginia's current bingo and raffle statutes. The joint subcommittee is requested to determine the feasibility of transferring control of bingo and raffle operations to a state agency and of licensing charities, bingo operators and suppliers to ensure integrity in bingo operations. Issues related to the fair market rental value, uniform enforcement, and statutory consistency must also be examined by the subcommittee.
