SB 503 Transportation program for the Disney project.

SUMMARY:

Transportation program for the Disney project. Creates the Interstate 66 Economic Development Program and authorizes its financing under the State Revenue Bond Act found in Title 33.1. The program consists of the design, acquisition and construction of certain improvements to, as well as contiguous to, Interstate 66 in Prince William County, including (i) a new interchange west of U.S. Route 15, (ii) an additional lane in each direction on Interstate 66 from Route 234, (iii) improvements to U.S. Route 15 north of its interchange with Interstate 66, and (iv) a network of secondary roads to be connected to the new interchange in an area north of Interstate 66. The bonds which may be issued under the State Revenue Bond Act constitute "subject to appropriation" debt.
