SUMMARY:

Pre-school children with disabilities. Clarifies that preschoolers with disabilities may be provided education in private nonsectarian child-day programs licensed in accordance with state law. To avoid litigation and assure the proper delivery of services to the children, this provision states specifically that these young children may be placed in nonsectarian child-day programs. This bill is a recommendation of the Board of Education.
