SB 402 Certification of vital records.
Introduced by: Clarence A. Holland | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
LD8228673 03/09/94 SUMMARYCertification of vital records. Establishes a statewide system for decentralizing certification of vital records, to be funded through increased fees for copies of vital records. At present, the Virginia Vital Statistics Automation Fund receives $2 of every $5 fee; this provision increases the fee for copies to $8 per copy and deposits to the Fund $4 of the fee for the decentralizing certification of vital records. The bill also creates a special fund to be appropriated by the General Assembly as it deems necessary to administer the vital records program and the other $4 of the fee goes to this special fund. Previously $3 of the $5 fee went to the general fund.
