SUMMARY:

Persons with disabilities. Allows experienced trainers of guide dogs, hearing dogs and service dogs who are in the process of training such dogs the same public privileges that blind, deaf or hearing-impaired or mobility-impaired persons have to be accompanied by such a dog that is already trained. Under the bill, governing bodies may not impose a license tax on service dogs, which are dogs trained to assist mobility-impaired persons. The license tax exemption already applies to guide dogs and hearing dogs.
