SB 300 Jails; home electronic incarceration.

SUMMARY:

Jails; home electronic incarceration. Expands current provisions for the placement into home electronic incarceration programs of state-responsible inmates who are serving their sentences in jails irrespective of the length of the term. Under current state law state-responsible inmates have to serve all but 12 months of their sentence before they are eligible while suitable jail inmates are immediately eligible for such programs.
