1994 SESSION
SB 271 Appointment of teachers to school boards.
Introduced by: Edgar S. Robb | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Appointment of teachers to school boards. Allows licensed teachers to be appointed to the school board as ex officio members of the board serving without vote. This provision would also allow the relatives of licensed teachers to be appointed to school boards as ex officio members serving without vote.
Presently, the general (statutory) law does not provide for appointment of ex officio members without vote to school boards. There may be charters that provide this type of membership.
