1994 SESSION
SB 265 Child day centers.
Introduced by: Jane H. Woods | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Child day centers.Currently certain preschool or nursery school programs operated by accredited private schools may choose to be exempt from licensure as a child day center by the Department of Social Services if they meet a narrow set of criteria, most of which apply only to Montessori schools. This exemption, which went into effect on July 1, 1993, is schedule to expire on July 1, 1994. This bill removes the sunset clause so that the exemption will be in effect indefinitely. Several technical changes regarding the administration of the section have also been made. The substance of this bill is identical to House Bill 1121.
