SUMMARY:

Legal Services Plans. Clarifies administrative and financial provisions within Chapter 44 of the insurance title governing legal services plans. The bill requires legal services organizations to incorporate, and it clarifies the definitions and roles of participating attorneys and law firms. Finally, the bill establishes the State Corporation Commission's authority to issue corrective action orders for plans in hazardous financial condition and to suspend or revoke service plans' licenses.
