SUMMARY:
Reports by school authorities. Requires reporting of instances of firearms being illegally carried onto school buses or school property or at a school-sponsored activity. Present law requires the reporting of attempted or actual physical injuries, including "unlawful woundings," maimings, homicides (other than involuntary manslaughter), all deaths, shootings, stabbings, and any conduct involving alcohol, marijuana, a controlled substance, imitation controlled substance, or anabolic steroid. The reports are semiannually submitted to the superintendents who annually report to the Department of Education.
