SUMMARY:

Alternative education programs. Increases the number of alternative education programs for certain students from four to up to ten pilot projects. The bill also requires that any additional programs be located throughout the state to provide greater geographical distribution and that priority be given to areas of the state with high numbers of suspensions and expulsions.
