SUMMARY:

Mechanic's lien. Requires homeowners who are not contractors to provide an affidavit concerning the payment status of any mechanic's or materialmen's liens on the property prior to sale or refinance. Willfu misrepresentation in the affadavit which results in a monetary loss to the purchaser or financing party is made punishable as a Class 3 misdemeanor.
