SUMMARY:

Provisions of subdivision ordinance. Includes Stafford County and Spotsylvania County (described by population) and towns within a county that is adjacent to a county having the urban county executive form of government as jurisdictions that may require a subdivider or developer (i) to pay part of the cost of needed and necessary roads outside his subdivision or development when the road need is in part due to his activities, or (ii) to reimburse an initial subdivider or developer for road costs and improvements that the initial subdivider or developer has made in excess of his fair share, provided that the subsequent subdivider or developer shall make no reimbursement if he has made an accepted § 15.1-491(a) proffer for off-site road improvements, a road impact fee has been assessed, or his final plans (site, subdivision, etc.) have been approved by the local government.
