SUMMARY:

Approval of petty cash funds. Allows local school boards to appoint an agent to approve payment of claims arising from commitments required by law from petty cash funds established by the school board. This provision eliminates the time consuming requirment that the school board, particularly in large school divisions and/or those with site-based management focuses, approve the payment of petty cash claims.
