HB 417 Certificates of analysis.

SUMMARY:

Certificates of analysis. Specifically authorizes the Director of the Division of Forensic Sciences to delegate his duties with regard to prepartation of certificates of analysis to an employee of the division. The bill removes a cross-reference citation to a section which authorizes agency heads to designate subordinates to perform certain duties. Since the director is not an agency head, it is suggested that the section (§ 2.1-20.01:2) cannot apply. This bill eliminates any confusion.
