SUMMARY:
School guidance and counseling techniques. Requires the Board of Education to promulgate regulations governing the use of psychotherapeutic techniques in school guidance and counseling. The regulations shall require written parental consent to pupil participation. Notice of the program is to describe the particular technique, its purpose, and other concerns. The local school board is to maintain records of all written responses authorizing pupil participation pupils from these programs. Identical to HB 764, this measure seeks to address federal concerns regarding individual privacy and religious freedoms.
