SUMMARY:
Professions and occupations; volunteer accounting for nonprofit organizations. Creates an exception for persons not licensed by the Board for Accountancy to use such restricted terms as "generally accepted accounting standards," "public accountancy standards," "audit," and "opinion," etc., provided such unlicensed persons are volunteers of a private, nonprofit organization or agency sponsored or funded, in whole or in part, by a community-based citizen group or organization. This exception is currently enjoyed by several of the behavioral science boards (i.e., professional counselors and psychologists).
