HB 249 Smoking in public schools.

Introduced by: L. Karen Darner | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Clean indoor air in public schools. Clarifies the prohibition against smoking in the public schools of the Commonwealth. Presently, smoking is prohibited in common areas of public schools. This provision broadens this prohibition to the "interior" of public schools; however, smoking may be allowed in a designated area which is not a common area (such as a classroom, library, gymnasium, etc.) after regular school hours if student activities have been concluded.
