SUMMARY:
Accident and sickness insurance; bone marrow transplants. Requires health insurers, nonstock corporations and health maintenance organizations to offer and make available individual and group coverage for breast cancer treatment procedures commonly described as dose-intensive chemotherapy/autologous bone marrow transplants or stem cell transplants. The requirement would be applicable to health insurance policies, health services plans and HMO-sponsored health care plans issued or renewed on and after January 1, 1995.
